Mineyo Miyai was born in Japan on 20 July 1912.

Mineyo Miyai passed away in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, around 6:30 a.m. on 18 April 2024, at the age of 111 years, 273 days.

RECOGNITION

On 9 June 2022, following the passing of Ei Nakano, she became the oldest living person in Wakayama Prefecture.

On 1 September 2022 and 1 September 2023, she was reported as the Prefecture’s oldest living resident, and was presented with a congratulatory letter and gift from the prefectural governor.
