Joseph W. "Joe" Baker is an American supercentenarian who is a candidate for the title of oldest living man in the United States. His age has not been validated by LongeviQuest (LQ).
Baker was born on 29 January 1912. He was married, and had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as a supercentenarian.
After the 4 October 2022 death of Ezra Hill, Baker, a Compton, California resident, became a candidate for the U.S.’s oldest living man; Lebanese-born Francis Zouein, who also lives in California, claims to be a just over a year older.
Baker has never been recognised for his longevity in any news outlets. His grandson has congratulated him on his birthday every year since 2021 on his Facebook page.
