Domingo Villa Avisencio was a Mexican supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS).

BIOGRAPHY
Villa Avisencio was born in Charcas, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, on 26 August 1906, although his later-life documents listed his birthdate as 4 August 1910. He had at least nine siblings. Having never attended school, he remained illiterate throughout his life.
He married twice and had eight children. His first wife passed away in 1947. He worked as a farmer for most of his life.
By 2017, he had 50 grandchildren, an unknown number of great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter named Ema. When asked in an interview about the secret to his longevity, he simply replied that he didn’t know — time had just passed until it happened. In 2019, he was living with his eldest surviving daughter, who was 90 years old.
Villa Avisencio passed away in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, on 3 November 2019, at the age of 113 years, 69 days.
RECOGNITION
On 22 December 2018, following the passing of María Isabel León Ramírez, he became the oldest known living person in Mexico whose age is fully documented and validated. Upon his own passing, he was succeeded by Sofía Mendoza Valencia.
His age was verified by Jeffrey Xu, Stefan Maglov, Fabrizio Villatoro and Zuly Moreno, and validated by the LAS in 2019.
At the time of his passing, he was the world’s second-oldest (known) living man, after Tomás Pinales Figuereo.
