BIOGRAPHY

Anna Ribeiro Sicupira was born in Palmeira, Paraná, Brazil, on 6 May 1909 (claimed 7 May).

At the age of 18, she married Barcímio Baptista Lins Sicupira. The couple had three children: Alceu (aged 86 in 2017), Aide (aged 84 in 2017), and Barcímio Jr. (1944–2021), a former Brazilian footballer. She was known as “Dona Dedé”.

Anna Ribeiro Sicupira passed away of natural causes in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, on 11 February 2021, at the age of 111 years, 281 days.

RECOGNITION

Her case was initially listed as a pending validation by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) as of 2020. The validation process was completed by Gabriel Ainsworth and Stefan Maglov, and her age was validated by LongeviQuest on 17 August 2023.
