Tei Ura [Japanese: 浦てい] was a Japanese supercentenarian who was the oldest living person in Ishikawa Prefecture at the time of her passing.
Tei Ura (浦てい) was born in Japan on October 16, 1895.
In her later years, she lived at home with her grandchild’s family. She used day services for bathing assistance and always looked forward to her granddaughter-in-law’s home-cooked meals.
Ura passed away at home from natural causes on June 5, 2006, at the age of 110 years and 232 days. Following her passing, Sote Toshima of Wajima City became the oldest living person in Ishikawa Prefecture.
Her age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 22 September 2007 and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
