Rikako Hoshino (Japanese: 星野里可子) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest. At the time of death, she was the oldest living person in Gunma Prefecture.

BIOGRAPHY

Hoshino was born in Katashina, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, on 11 February 1910. At some point, she got married and had five children.

Hoshino died of natural causes in Katashina, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, on 17 April 2021, at the age of 111.

RECOGNITION

On 19 April 2021, following the death of 111-year-old Naka Uchida, she became the oldest living person in Gunma Prefecture.

Following her death, Shige Kobayashi became the oldest living person in the Prefecture.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yumi Yamamoto and Yu Li, and validated by LongeviQuest on 22 June 2023.
