Odessa Bowie was born in Franklin, Robertson County, Texas, United States on 29 March 1914.

She never smoked or drank, and attributes her longevity to living a “stress free” life.

Bowie passed away in Plano, Texas, United States, on 17 May 2025 at the age of 111.
