Misao Kobayashi (Japanese: 小林 貞) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Misao Kobayashi was born in Japan on 27 October 1913. She had a passion for singing and continued to do so until around the age of 108.

Misao Kobayashi passed away in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, on 19 June 2026, at the age of 112 years, 235 days.

RECOGNITION

Following the passing of Hisayo Nobuyasu in early 2024, Kobayashi became the oldest living person in Hiroshima Prefecture. Upon her own passing in June 2026, she was succeeded by Kaoru Kodera.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 28 September 2024.
