BIOGRAPHY
Mildred Sapp was born in Louisiana, USA, on 21 February 1906.
By the time she celebrated her 111th birthday, she was a great-great-great-grandmother, marking six generations of her family. She enjoyed watching cowboy movies on TV and had been dipping tobacco for over 102 years. On her 100th birthday, she was asked, “What does someone who’s 100 years old want for their birthday?” She replied, “A boyfriend! … But you all keep telling people how old I am! … And not one my age either!”
Mildred Sapp passed away in Oakland, California, on 31 July 2017, at the age of 111 years, 160 days.
