Masao Kaga [Japanese: 加賀政雄] was a Japanese supercentenarian. At the time of death, he was the oldest living person in Kagawa Prefecture.

BIOGRAPHY

Masao Kaga (加賀政雄) was born in Japan on June 1, 1902.

On September 21, 2007, at the age of 105, he was visited by the mayor in recognition of being the oldest resident in the city. At the time, Kaga was living at home with his family. His longevity was said to be due to having no particular dislikes in food and enjoying dishes popular among younger people, such as curry rice and spaghetti.

Kaga passed away in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, on June 26, 2013, at the age of 111 years and 25 days. At the time of his death, he was the oldest living person in Kagawa Prefecture. Following his passing, Shizue Matsuzaki of Sanuki City succeeded him as the oldest living person in the prefecture.

His age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 28 February 2013 and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
