Masa Osada (Japanese: 長田まさ) was a Japanese supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Masa Osada was born in Japan on 5 April 1894.

Masa Osada passed away in Meguro Ward, Tokyo, Japan, sometime between 1 and 4 April 2006, just shy of her 112th birthday.

RECOGNITION

In September 2003, Japan’s MHLW reported her as the second-oldest living person in Tokyo, behind Hiro Kimoto (1892–fl.2003). After Kimoto went to limbo in September 2003, Osada became Tokyo’s oldest known resident.

Her age was verified by the MHLW, Japan, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 23 September 2005. The validation was later recognized by LongeviQuest.
