Marie Monet was a Brazilian supercentenarian.
Marie Monet was born in São Paulo City, Brazil, on 25 July 1904. Her father had arrived in Brazil in 1890 to work in the glass industry. She spoke multiple languages, including Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
At the age of 104, it was reported that she neither needed glasses—for reading or for watching television—nor used a cane. She could walk unassisted and make her way down the stairs from her bedroom to the living room without help.
Marie Monet passed away on 24 January 2015, at the age of 110 years, 183 days.
Her age has not been validated.
