María Parra González was a Mexican supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS). At the moment, she is the earliest validated supercentenarian who died in Mexico.

BIOGRAPHY

María Romualda Guadalupe Parra González was born as in Huanímaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, on 7 February 1891. Her parents were Francisco Parra González and Petra González Pichardo.

At some point, she married Gumesindo Gasca Hernández (born 1883) and had 13 children. She was widowed in the 1940s.

In 2002, aged 111, she had around 60 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

María Parra González died in the borough of Gustavo A. Madero, Mexico City, Mexico, on 14 September 2002, at the age of 111 years, 219 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Stefan Maglov and Jeffrey Xu, and validated by the LAS on 14 January 2020.
