Maria del Carmen Valencia was born in Manizales, Caldas, Colombia, on 23 April 1909. She was the daughter of Onofre Valencia Restrepo and Dolores Vargas Giraldo. Maria married Gonzalo Valencia Ocampo, with whom she had six daughters.
Maria del Carmen Valencia passed away in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca, on 23 April 2019, her 110th birthday.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by Santiago García Medina, and validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) on 9 June 2021.
