BIOGRAPHY

Manoel Alves Feitosa was born in Caririaçu, Ceará, Brazil, on 27 November 1904. Manoel Alves worked as a farmer and became a police chief later. He married Generous Lira Feitosa and had ten children. They were married for 62 years until Generous’s passing in 2002 in Juazeiro.

Alves Feitosa had been in bed because of his old age and was blind for the last 12 years of his life. He died on 28 June 2013 in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, Brazil, at the age of 108. At the time of his death, he also had 45 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

RECOGNITION

His age was verified by Gabriel Ainsworth and Stefan Maglov and validated by Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) on 19 October 2022. His age was recognized by LongeviQuest later.
