BIOGRAPHY
Magdalena Hernández was born in La Laja in Curití, Santander Department, Colombia, on 13 July 1900 (allegedly claimed 3 August 1901). She married Esteban González, a musician who played the bandola and tiple. Together they had nine children, five of whom were still living as of August 2011.
Magdalena Hernández passed away in San Gil, Santander Department, in June or July 2012.
RECOGNITION
Her case was announced as a pending validation by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) on 10 March 2021.
