BIOGRAPHY

Forist was born Lucy Alice Zvorist in Wilton, North Dakota, USA, on 17 November 1906, to Romanian-born Jewish parents Morris (Zvoristeanu) Zvorist (1873–1952) and Ella Glickman (1882–1967). She had one older brother, Herbert (1905–1992), and two younger twin siblings, Emily (1908–1997) and Emil (1908–1908).

At some point in her adult life, she Americanized her surname to Forist. She never married nor had children.

Forist passed away in Los Angeles, California, USA, on 25 July 2018 at the age of 111.
