BIOGRAPHY

Lilian González de Andújar was born in Baní, Peravia, Dominican Republic, on 6 April 1911. When she was 7 years old, the Spanish flu emerged, and she still remembered how her mother put camphor bags on her chest and for her siblings. She was the penultimate of 15 children. She married, had three children, and worked as a housewife.

One of her sisters lived to be 107. At the age of 109, she was still able to talk on the phone.

Lilian González de Andújar died in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on 20 November 2022, at the age of 111 years, 228 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Fabrizio Villatoro, Santiago García Medina and Stefan Maglov, and validated by the LAS on 13 June 2021.
