A few months later, Lady joined him, traveling by train with their eight-month-old daughter.
When Eurico graduated in 1950, he received a cash award for being the top student in his class. He then traveled to Rio de Janeiro, bought a car, and returned with his family to Cachoeira do Sul.
Lady and Eurico were married for 70 years, until Eurico’s passing in 2006. The couple had two children: Suzel, an economist, and Eurico Filho, a real estate agent.
