Kinsaku Hayashinaka (Japanese: 林中金作) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Kinsaku Hayashinaka was born in Shimizu, Kamikawa (Tokachi) District, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, on 15 November 1910. Situated at the base of a mountain surrounded by lush greenery in Kiyota Ward, Sapporo City, he operated a fishing pond shop with his family.

In 2019, at the age of 108, Hayashinaka received congratulatory gifts from the governor of Hokkaido in celebration of Respect for the Aged Day.

Kinsaku Hayashinaka passed away in Kiyota Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, on 17 November 2020, at the age of 110 years, 2 days.

RECOGNITION

On 17 May 2019, following the passing of 109-year-old Shinzaburo Sakashita of Shimamaki, he became the oldest living man in Hokkaido Prefecture.

Upon his passing, he was succeeded as the Prefecture’s oldest living man by Shirō Moriyama.
