Kikue Yamada was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.
Kikue Yamada was born on 2 January 1900, and spent most of her life in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture.
On 3 June 2010, at 5:55 p.m., Yamada passed away from a brain stem infarction at the age of 110 years, 151 days.
In September 2008, at the age of 108, Yamada was recognized as the fourth-oldest person in Okayama Prefecture, following Shizuko Araki, Yaeko Shiota, and an anonymous woman.
On 30 July 2009, after the passing of Yaeko Shiota from Kurashiki City at the age of 110, Yamada became the oldest living person in Okayama Prefecture, at 109 years old. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Ritsu Minagi (14 October 1900 – 14 June 2010) of Mimasaka.
Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano, and validated by LongeviQuest on 1 January 2025.
