Katsue Hiraishi was a Japanese supercentenarian who was, for a few hours, the oldest living person in Tokushima Prefecture.

BIOGRAPHY

Hiraishi was born in Japan on 9 June 1904. She lived in Phoenix Nursing Home in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture. She became the third resident of the prefecture to reach 113 in 2017.

On 6 November 2017, aged 113 years, 150 days, she became the oldest person in Tokushima City (and the entire prefecture) following the death of Tsurue Amou at 12:10 PM. Hiraishi died at 10:39 PM on the same day, being succeeded by then-109-year-old Fujie Tanigawa.

RECOGNITION
