RECOGNITION

Montabord’s age was verified by Guillaume Legris and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 22 May 2018.

Her mother, Félicité Jandia (1881–1992), was also a verified supercentenarian, making them only the second known parent-child pair in history to both reach supercentenarian status. Together, they hold the record for the highest combined age of any such pair (225 years, 26 days). The first known pair was Mary Phil Cota (1870–1982) and her daughter, Rosabell Fenstermaker (1893–2005).
