Izabel Emiliana de Oliveira was born in Parelhas, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil on 26 August 1900. Her grandfather Felix Gomes was one of the founders of the city of Parelhas. She worked as a farmer. She had nine children (three of whom died in infancy).
At the time of her 110th birthday, she lived with three of her children (including Maria Isabel and Jose Florentino) in Varzea do Barro community, Parelhas.
Izabel Emiliana de Oliveira died in Parelhas, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil on 4 May 2013, at the age of 112 years, 251 days.
At the moment, she is the oldest documented person who died in the State of Rio Grande do Norte.
Her age was initially listed as a pending validation by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) as of 3 May 2022. The validation process was completed by Gabriel Ainsworth and Stefan Maglov, and her age was validated by LongeviQuest on 30 July 2023.
