Ivarene Bateman

BIOGRAPHY

Bateman was born in Kansas City, Kansas, USA, on 10 October 1904, to parents Charles Deets Cornelius (1879–1948) and Elsie Williams (1879–1939). In 1919, the family moved to San Diego.

At some point, she married Thomas Odean Bateman (1904–1984). The couple had three children: Connie Gottschall (1926–2007), Tom Odean Bateman, Jr. (1928–2003) and Charles Wilbur Bateman (an American actor; born 1930).

Bateman passed away in San Diego, California, USA, on 14 January 2015, at the age of 110 years, 96 days. She was survived by her son Charles, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
