BIOGRAPHY
Eva Pittí was born in Dolega, Chiriquí, Panama, on 21 September 1910.
On 28 February 1933, she married José Tarsicio Fuentes. The couple had at least four children, including Elidia.
Eva Pittí passed away in the village of Palmarito, Renacimiento District, Chiriquí Province, Panama, on 9 November 2020, at the age of 110.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by Fabrizio Villatoro and Stefan Maglov, and validated by the LAS on 22 September 2020.
At the time of death, she was the second-oldest living person in Panama, after Marcelina Araúz de Maure.
Following her death, some of the photos from her 110th birthday party became viral on Facebook and other social media. Though some of the posts gained thousands of likes, the photos were reposted by people falsely claiming to be family members of friends.
