BIOGRAPHY

Dorothea Duisberg was born Dorothea Weyhausen in Bremen, Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Germany on 7 October 1912.

In 1948, she emigrated to Argentina.

Duisberg has enjoyed traveling, especially in her later years. In June 2013, at the age of 100, she traveled to Croatia. In 2022, Duisberg emigrated from Argentina to Chile.

Dorothea Duisberg passed away in Santiago de Chile, Chile on 2 October 2023, just five days before her 111th birthday.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Marco Wikkerink and Andrew Holmes, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 1 January 2023. The validation was later recognized by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) and LongeviQuest.
