BIOGRAPHY

Chester Meros was born in Pennsylvania, USA, on 14 July 1915. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland, around the age of 30 in search of work and eventually found employment with Bethlehem Steel, where he helped build ships. Over the years, he worked on many vessels, but his favorite was the SS John W. Brown.

His son attributed his father’s long life to good genes and a positive outlook.
