BIOGRAPHY
Martin was born in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, on 15 February 1915. He joined the Baltimore County Fire Department in 1943, dedicating his entire career to the Edgemere station. After retiring in 1964, he relocated to Florida.
Martin passed away in Lehigh Acres, Florida, on 24 July 2026, at the age of 111 years, 159 days.

On 15 June 2026, following the passing of 111-year-old Luis Cano of New Jersey, he became the oldest known living man in the US.
