Augusta Caterina Maria De Bin was an Italian supercentenarian. Her age has been validated by the the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).
Augusta De Bin was born in Vittoria Veneto, Veneto, Italy, on 21 February 1903. She was married to Giovanni Gottardi, and together they had two daughters: Maria Teresa, who survived her, and Mimma, who passed away at a young age.
She was deeply devoted to Saint Augusta, so much so that every summer, until the age of 99, she made a pilgrimage to the summit of the sanctuary dedicated to the saint in Vittorio Veneto.
Augusta De Bin passed away in Tarzo, Veneto, Italy, on 30 July 2013, at the age of 110 years, 159 days.
On 2 February 2013, following the passing of Cirilla Zenari, she became the oldest living person in the region of Veneto, a title she held jointly with Margherita Venzo.
De Bin’s age was verified by Paolo Scarabaggio, and was validated by the ESO on 31 January 2020.
