Albertine Valentine Louise Larroque (née Allier) was a French supercentenarian.
Albertine Larroque was born in the commune of Courris in the Tarn department in southern France, on 28 August 1906. At the age of seven, she lost her mother, Louise, and was raised by her father, Albert Allier, a farmer.
On 28 October 1937, at 31, she married François Joseph Elisée Larroque in Ambialet. In 1939, while her husband was away serving in World War II, Albertine gave birth to their first child, Josette. After the war ended and her husband returned home, their second daughter, Christiane, was born in 1947. On 29 September 1964, Albertine was widowed following the death of her husband.
Until she was 100, she still rode her bike.
On her 110th birthday, Jean-Pierre Lefloch, the mayor of Ambialet, visited her, presenting her with a bouquet of flowers and a small gift. She celebrated the occasion with a glass of muscat in hand, accompanied by two delicious aperitif cakes, surrounded by her two daughters. At the time, she had three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren — and not long after, her family welcomed a new generation with the birth of a baby boy.
Albertine Larroque passed away in the commune of Ambialet in the Tarn department, on 25 September 2016, at the age of 110 years, 28 days.
Her age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation. This validation is yet to be recognized by LongeviQuest.
