Akino Hirano (Japanese: 平野秋の) is a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.
Akino Hirano (平野秋の) was born in Shiga, Hidaka Town, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, on 4 November 1915. She was the fourth of nine siblings and the eldest daughter. At the age of 23, she married and moved to Mihama Town.
On 4 November 2020, when she turned 105, the mayor of Mihama Town visited her and presented her with a bouquet of flowers. She happily remarked, “I wonder where I should display them,” as she loved flowers. At that time, she was reported to have six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In September 2024, she was officially announced as the oldest living person in Wakayama Prefecture. At the age of 109, she said that drawing and coloring were her daily pleasures, and that her favorite food was sashimi. She also stated that the keys to her longevity were enjoying all kinds of food and trying to move her body consciously, even though she did not engage in much formal exercise.
In November 2025, when she turned 110, the mayor of Mihama Town visited her again and presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
Her age was verified by Wakayama Prefecture, Ryohei Asano and Marco Wikkerink, and validated by LongeviQuest on 17 December 2025.
