Aki Konishi (Japanese: 小西アキ) was a Japanese supercentenarian.
Aki Konishi was born in Japan on 14 December 1914. According to her family’s social media posts, she had eight children and, at the time of her passing, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In the September 2023 issue of the city’s public relations magazine, she expressed her gratitude for remaining healthy and energetic, thanks to the support of those around her. She also shared that she still enjoyed eating her meals every day. In the September 2024 issue, she said that she spent each day joyfully and believed that good sleep was the secret to her longevity.
Konishi passed away from natural causes at a care home in Satsumasendai, on 2 April 2025, at the age of 110 years, 109 days.
In Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, she was honored by the mayor on 13 September 2024, as the city’s oldest living resident. On that occasion, she warmly welcomed the mayor, dressed in a kimono and wearing makeup.
Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano, Takehiro Shibuya, and Bogdan Solyanikov, and validated by LongeviQuest on 22 April 2025.
