Ioana Lungu, a resident of Grozești, Mehedinți County, Romania, passed away on 24 May, at the age of 110 years, 47 days.
Ioana Lungu was born in the village of Şuşiţa, Mehedinți County, Romania, on 7 April 1916. She was married to Ion Lungu, a war veteran who died on the front during World War II. They had three children: one daughter and two sons.
At the time of her passing, she was the country’s second-oldest living woman, after Paladia Noja.
