Romana Swoboda was born in Vienna, Austria, on 24 November 1902.
Swoboda passed away in Mariahilf, Vienna, on 29 November 2012, at the age of 110 years, 5 days.
On 6 August 2012, following the passing of 110-year-old Cacilia Buchinger, she became the Oldest Living Person in Austria. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Theresia Sommer (14 October 1904 – 20 April 2013).
Her age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 22 January 2020.
