BIOGRAPHY

Thurner was born on 2 February 1913 in the Austria-Hungary empire. She was married and had three children. She worked as a lawyer and a notary until the age of 72.

As a centenarian, she could still drive independently, and enjoyed fresh air in the wooded areas of Hernals, Vienna – her district of residence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she did not contract the virus or even catch a cold.

RECOGNITION

On her 110th birthday, Thurner was visited by the district mayor, Peter Jagsch, who presented her with a card containing messages of congratulations.
