Adeline Elizabeth Cotreau (née Muise) was a Canadian supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Adeline Elizabeth Cotreau was born on 26 May 1915 to parents Annie Louise and Jeffrey Muise. She was the third of ten children in her family.

On 22 November 1938, she married Lawrence Cotreau. The couple had two daughters, Patricia and Diane. Lawrence died in 2000 after more than 60 years of marriage, and Diane died in 2004.

Cotreau was a devout Catholic throughout her life. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and the Legion of Mary, and she frequently volunteered in parish life, including helping to maintain local churches. She received six of the seven Catholic sacraments.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, and sewing, often making clothing and household items for her family as well as donating her work to those in need.

Cotreau passed away in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on 11 September 2025, at the age of 110 years and 108 days. She was survived by her daughter Patricia, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
