Upon her passing, Helvi Härmä (4 June 1911 – 24 December 2020) succeeded her as the oldest living person in Finland. She was one of only three Nordic individuals (all women) known to have been born in the 1900s and to have passed away in the 2020s. The others were Marie Andersen of Norway (29 September 1909 – 16 February 2020) and Karla Lindholm Jensen of Denmark (7 May 1908 – 10 December 2020).

Her age has not been validated.
