Lidia Saulep, the oldest living person in Estonia, celebrated her 108th birthday in Paide, Järva County, on 5 July.
Lidia Saulep was born in Estonia, on 5 July 1918.
At 103, when asked about the secret to her longevity, she simply replied that you have to be able to enjoy life. At the time, she was still joking and chatting fluently. At 105, she was reported to still be living alone in her house and tending to the flowers in her garden. She also occasionally listened to the radio, although she no longer read very much.
Following the passing of 107-year-old Hilja Norman (1 May 1918 – 15 November 2025), she became the oldest living person in Estonia.
LongeviQuest extends warm congratulations to Lidia Saulep on her 108th birthday.
