Marie Nielsen, a resident of Gesten, Vejen Municipality, Southern Denmark, passed away on 13 June, just two days shy of her 110th birthday, according to JydskeVestkysten.
Marie Nielsen was born in Odder, Jutland, Denmark, on 15 June 1916. In 1935 she moved to Staushede near Gesten. She married Herluf and had three daughters: Grethe, Jytte, and Marie.
At the time of her passing, she was possibly the fourth-oldest living person in Denmark, after Kirsten Schwalbe, Gerda Christensen, and Elisiette Jensen.
