Stanisława Opalińska, a resident of Gdańsk, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, recently celebrated her 110th birthday, according to Trojmiasto.pl.
Stanisława Opalińska was born in Ostrów, Przemyśl County, Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Poland, on 10 May 1916. She was born the youngest of Karolina and Stefan Opaliński’s four daughters. Her father worked on the railway, while her mother cared for the home and garden, where she often helped out as a child.
During World War II, she worked in Rosendorf, Germany, for the Wancelhaken family, managing their farm. After the war, she moved to Gdańsk and settled in the Wrzeszcz district on Kościuszki Street. She spent her entire professional life working at a furniture factory on Grunwaldzka Avenue, specializing, among other things, in kitchen furniture. She remained there for more than 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the cinema, relaxing at the beach, and travelling.
