Concepción Lax Pina, a resident of Murcia, Spain, passed away on 16 April, just three days after her 111th birthday.
Concepción Lax Pina was born in Senda de Granada, Region of Murcia, Spain, on 13 April 1915. She was born into a farming family as the eldest of nine siblings.
She lived in her hometown until the age of 29, when she married Andrés Valera Cascales in 1942. Once married, they moved to Espinardo, Murcia. Together, they had two daughters, Carolina and Chitina. Before her marriage, she assisted her father, who worked as a carter. After getting married, she balanced household responsibilities with helping her husband run his transport delegation, which he operated from their home.
