Zdenko Premzl, the oldest living man in Croatia, recently passed away in Križevci, at the age of 106.

Premzl was born in Križevci, Croatia (then Kingdom of Yugoslavia), on 25 July 1919. In 1945, he married Olga Marija, and they were married for 71 years, until her passing in 2016. The couple had a daughter, Štefanija. In addition to his 78-year-old daughter, he also had two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren, all of whom are living in the United States.

Although his parents wanted him to pursue an academic path like his brother, he had other plans. He spent four months training as an accountant in the city administration, with the understanding that he would be taught the role and eventually become a deputy upon returning from military service. However, after completing his time in the army, he needed to earn more money to build a house. This led him to take up work as a butcher in Križevci. Alongside his trade, he also graduated from music school and played the violin in the city orchestra.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Zdenko Premzl during this difficult time.
