Sarah Piper, the oldest living person in the British overseas territory of Montserrat, turned 109 on 18 February. Harriet Cross, Governor of Montserrat, paid a special visit to mark this milestone.

Sarah Piper was born on 18 February 1917.

Only two other people are known to have reached the claimed age of 109 in Montserrat. One was Josephine Ann Ponde (1908–2017), who lived to 109, and the other was supercentenarian claimant Isley Bobb (1893–2003), who reportedly passed away at 110 years and 137 days. However, his age has not been officially validated.

LongeviQuest extends warm congratulations to Sarah Piper on her 109th birthday.
