Lita Margarita Argandoña Moreira, a resident of Portoviejo, Manabí Province, Ecuador, passed away on 1 January, at the age of 110 years, 55 days. Her passing was announced on social media by Jorge Gutiérrez Fernández, Principal Councilor of the Canton of Portoviejo.
Argandoña Moreira was born in Ecuador on 7 November 1915.
At the time of her passing, she was one of the oldest living people in Ecuador.
