Philomen Nicholas, the oldest living person in Saint Lucia, is celebrating her claimed 111th birthday in Monchy.

Philomen Nicholas, also known as Eldica, was born in the small village of Dauphin (Laborne, Monchy), on 23 October 1914. Having spent the majority of her life in Grande-Rivière, Gros-Islet, she outlived her two children. At 110 years old, she was surrounded by a large and loving family that included nine grandchildren, over 25 great-grandchildren, and a steadily growing number of great-great-grandchildren.

Her great-granddaughter, Christa, shared that even at 110, she remained in good health. She walked and carried out most daily tasks on her own, continuing to enjoy activities such as reading and praying the rosary. Faith always played a vital role throughout her life.

LongeviQuest extends warm congratulations to Philomen Nicholas on her 111th birthday.
