Ciria Martínez Rodríguez, a resident of San Pedro Pochutla, Oaxaca, Mexico, is celebrating her 110th birthday today.
Her granddaughter told LongeviQuest that her grandmother felt a little tired during the celebration, but emphasizing: “she never suffered from any illness. She has always been a healthy woman.”
Martínez Rodríguez was born in San Pedro Pochutla, Oaxaca, Mexico, on 3 August 1915 (although her family initially believed she was born in 1908). Ciria Martínez’s family had limited means, which prevented her from accessing an education. At a young age, she began working selling bread and as a domestic worker.
She never married but had three partners, with whom she had three daughters.
LongeviQuest extends warm congratulations to Ciria Martínez Rodríguez on her 110th birthday.
