Giuseppina Zecchini, a resident of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy, celebrated her 111th birthday on 10 June, according to TV33 (video report).
Giuseppina Zecchini was born in Verona, Veneto, on 10 June 1914. She was the fourth of five siblings. She excelled in mathematics and Italian during her elementary school years. At the age of 14, she left her family home to work as a babysitter in Bolzano.
In 1939, at the age of 25, she married Laerte Neri, a carpenter at the Military Engineers of Fleres. Together, they had three children: Ettore, Renata, and Paolo. She was widowed at 45 and raised her children alone, supporting them through household work.
Since 2021, she had been the oldest known living resident of Trentino-Alto Adige region.
