Iole Barosi, the oldest living person in Lombardy, Italy, celebrated her 111th birthday in Milan on 3 April, according to Gazzetta di Mantova.
Barosi was born in Piubega, Lombardy, Italy, on 3 April 1914. Her mother had never married and had five children. In 1934, she followed the family when they moved to Milan and spent her entire life there with her husband, dedicating herself to caring for the family, especially her son.
As of April 2024, one of her sisters, born in 1936, was still alive. Her son was almost 90 years old at the time.
On 10 June 2024, following the passing of Ida Ortolani, she became the oldest living person in Lombardy.
