Luis Carrasco-Muñoz y Pérez de la Isla, a resident of Madrid, is celebrating his 111th birthday today, according to the Association of Adult Scouts and Guides of Madrid (ASGAM).
He was born in Madrid on 13 February 1914. He is the oldest living Scout in the country, having begun his journey as a child in Los Exploradores de España, a former Spanish Scout association founded in 1912 by Cavalry Captain Teodoro Iradier y Herrero. The organization was inspired by Robert Baden-Powell’s Boy Scouts.

Following the death of 110-year-old Mateo Balbuena Iglesias on 16 July 2024, he became the oldest known living man in Spain, at the age of 110 years, 154 days.
He is currently the second or third-oldest living man in Europe, following Romanian Ilie Ciocan and Dutchman John Huang.
